  • Lesson 1 – Introduction

    • Review and troubleshoot the Unity installation and downloads. Students will be introduced to Unity and gain an understanding of how to interact with the interface.
  • Lesson 2 – Playground

    • Students will create a 2D spaceship game.
  • Lesson 3 – Puzzle Game

    • Students will create a 3D puzzle game.
  • Lesson 4 – C# Lesson

    • Students will learn the programming language C#. They will learn fundamental concepts which can be applied to Unity games.
  • Lesson 5 – Roll a Ball (1/4)
    1
    • Students will create a rolling ball game using C#. We will begin this task by creating our game board and writing a movement script for our player character.
  • Lesson 6 – Roll a Ball (2/4)
    1
    • Students will continue to create a rolling ball game using C# and begin dealing with camera movements and a script will be designed to handle this behavior effectively.
  • Lesson 7 – Roll a Ball (3/4

    • Students will continue to create a rolling ball game using C#. We will start designing some pick up objects into our game along with a script that will rotate them and change the appearance of these objects from within the code. We will also discuss how to add custom textures into our game object.
  • Lesson 8 – Roll a Ball (4/4)

    • Students will finish their rolling ball game using C#. In this class students will learn how to keep track of a score and add a win condition and a win screen using a script.
  • Lesson 9 – Review
    1
    • Students will review the material from each lesson and will be given all of the skills necessary to be able to create the final project independently. Students will also develop a game that will be chosen based on the needs of that specific class and write an accompanying script.
  • Lesson 10 – Final Project
    1
    • Students will be given the template and basic instructions for their final project. This project will allow students to express their creativity by customizing elements of the template
